A More Difficult Poverty

Mother Theresa witnessed poverty that we prosperous westerners could scarcely imagine. But there remains a poverty greater than the need for bread, and we, like her, can do something about it…

“I have an opportunity to be hours a day with Jesus…[the poor] are Jesus for me…I find the rich much poorer. Sometimes they are more lonely inside. They are never satisfied. They always need something more…I find that poverty hard to remove. The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.”

But let’s try anyway. We have the Holy Spirit, so we have lots of help to feed the truly hungry.

We still wait tables.
