“As Christians [in America], our challenge is to go back as close as we can to the Gospel and truly be the church. Increasingly, we’re likely to be a counter-culture. As that happens, we will be the last great defenders of reason, truth and human dignity, with the task of defending [the Faith] not just theoretically…but practically, as the early church did… Our privilege will be to repeat that story in our time.”

Hello Jay,
Thank you for reminding us in this chaotic time that our goal is to BE the church in word and deed. As a conservative Christian, I studied the ballot measures and voted as closely to biblical principles as I possibly could. Today I received an exit poll from the State of California. I filled it out, then sat in dismay as I looked at the results. Eighty percent of those who filled out the exit poll voted for the Biden-Harris ticket, voted for stem cell research, etc. Far less than 20% voted pro-life, pro-conservative. Conservative Christians are not only “counter-culture” in our State, we’ve been relegated to stand in the backroom of its political process. Our voice is not heard by those in power. God knows, God knows!
Awaiting His return,
Barbara
